Old Middlefield Schoolhouse Museum
About
The Old Middlefield Schoolhouse Museum is the headquarters of the Town of Middlefield Historical Association, housed in the 1875 Old Schoolhouse No. 1 in the hamlet of Middlefield. It is on the National Register of Historic Places and operated as a two-story, two-classroom school until 1954.
Inside is a restored schoolroom with desks complete with inkwells, along with a post office window from a local store, historical exhibits, documents, photographs, artifacts and a small gift shop. The grounds hold the town’s only Veterans Memorial, and a creekside playing field and picnic tables are open to the public.
