Merlin Mold & Manufacturing
About
Canastota is best known as the home of the International Boxing Hall of Fame, but the Madison County village is also home to Merlin Mold & Manufacturing. As the name suggests, the company works in mold making and manufacturing, shaping the parts that other products depend on. It is the kind of behind-the-scenes manufacturer that most visitors never see.
Mold makers build the tooling that forms parts used in everything from consumer goods to industrial equipment, so their work sits behind many familiar items. Canastota’s shop floors are a reminder that Madison County has a manufacturing side beyond its farms.
