Light Work
About
Light Work is an artist-run nonprofit in Syracuse that supports photography and digital imaging. It was founded in 1973 and works through residencies, publications, exhibitions and a community-access digital lab. Its focus is on emerging and under-represented artists who work in those media. That makes it a resource for artists as much as for gallery-goers.
The organization is based in the Robert B. Menschel Media Center on the Syracuse University campus. Groups and individuals can schedule tours and gallery talks that cover the current exhibition and the facility, or stop in during public gallery hours to see the work on view.
