McIntosh and Cortland apples are on the shelves all season at Hollenbeck’s Cider Mill, a seasonal apple stop in Cortland known for its selection of New York State apples and its bakery. Honeycrisp, Macoun, Northern Spy, Idared, Jonagold, Fuji and other varieties round out the lineup as the season goes on.
The bakery turns out pies daily during the season, with Apple and Dutch Apple always available. Other flavors include pumpkin, pecan, blueberry, cherry, peach, raspberry, blackberry, lemon and a sugar-free apple. Which pies are on hand depends on ingredients and demand, and special orders are welcome with a day’s notice.
