Herkimer History Volunteers

Herkimer History Volunteers is a dedicated group in Herkimer that brings local history to life through storytelling and community involvement. Its work touches museum and library resources that help residents and visitors explore the village’s past, one story at a time, with plenty of passion behind it.

Volunteer-run history groups depend on neighbors who care about preserving the past. Herkimer’s long role in the Mohawk Valley, from colonial settlement to Erie Canal days, gives them plenty to share with visitors and neighbors alike.
