Greater Syracuse Sports Hall of Fame
About
Greater Syracuse Sports Hall of Fame is an exhibit honoring athletes and sports figures from the Syracuse area, based in Cicero. Its collection includes athletic artifacts and, most famously, the very first NBA 24-second clock, a piece of basketball history with deep ties to Syracuse.
Photography, videos and stories of local legends round out the displays. The shot clock came out of the city’s old pro basketball team, the Syracuse Nationals, which is why the clock holds such a special place in the collection.
