Eastern Shore Insurance Agency is a 100 percent employee-owned insurance agency based in Fulton, in Oswego County. It was founded in 1986 when three smaller independent agencies pooled their resources to offer big-agency capabilities with a small-agency feel.
The employees took on part ownership through an ESOP in 1991 and became full owners in January 2009. Today more than 70 employee-owners work from six locations across Central and Upstate New York, and the agency places coverage with over 30 insurance companies.
