Cortland County Junior Fair

Kids are the focus at the Cortland County Junior Fair, a family fair built around agricultural education. Organizers say it is really about the kids, who learn about real life in ways a book or a city street cannot teach. It is a summer festival with agricultural roots.

Visitors see the hard work of local farm families and 4-H members. The fair was formed in 1953 by a group that created the County of Cortland Agricultural Corporation, and it runs alongside Cortland County Cornell Cooperative Extension. Midway games and rides are provided by Ontario Amusements.
