CNY Fiber Arts Festival

Yarn, sheep and sheepdogs are the stars at the CNY Fiber Arts Festival, an annual celebration of fiber arts held each June at the Herkimer County fairgrounds. Workshops, demonstrations, children’s activities and food fill the day, and the whole thing is built around the people who spin, knit, weave and stitch.

More than 100 covered vendors sell yarns, crafts and supplies, so knitters, spinners and weavers can restock in one trip. Visitors can also watch sheep shearing or a sheepdog herding demonstration, which is a hit with kids and adults alike.
