Cicero Pumkin Patch

About

The first thing people notice about Cicero Pumkin Patch is the spelling. There’s no “p” in Pumkin, and the name has never changed. The farm outing north of Syracuse started as one man’s idea of farming for fun, backed by his family and friends, and kids have loved it ever since.

The fall lineup includes a family-oriented hayride, a corn maze and a nature walk, with the hayride pitched especially at children. It’s also a stop for seasonal decorating, with gourds, cornstalks, broom corn, multi-colored corn, white pumpkins and strawberry corn all on offer.

What to Know

  • The odd spelling of Pumkin is deliberate, and the patch has kept it through the years.
  • The children’s hayride is the main event, and the patch says it’s the best one in Central New York.
  • Beyond pumpkins, the decorating selection includes broom corn, strawberry corn and multi-colored corn.
  • A corn maze and a nature walk give families more to do than just pick up a pumpkin.
  • It’s featured by Visit Syracuse, the Onondaga County tourism bureau.
