Catskill Symphony Orchestra

The Catskill Symphony Orchestra has been performing in the Oneonta area since 1953, presenting a professional ensemble to audiences of all ages across upstate New York. It is led by Maestro Charles Schneider and aims to entertain, educate and inspire with the full range of symphonic music.

Programs draw on five major periods of music, Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Modern and Contemporary, in nearly equal measure. Each concert mixes beloved favorites with lesser-known traditional works and new music, some of it commissioned and some of it debuting, and nearly every one features a soloist.
