Bomber Disc Golf
About
Rome’s Griffiss Business & Technology Park, the former Griffiss Air Force Base, is the setting for Bomber Disc Golf, a disc golf course. It’s pitched as one of the more distinctive outdoor recreation experiences in Central New York, thanks in part to the location on a former military airfield.
Disc golf follows the spirit of regular golf but swaps clubs and balls for flying discs and metal baskets, so it’s easy to pick up. A round makes a good excuse for friends or families to get outside in Rome and see a side of the old air base that most visitors never do.
