Berkshire Bank Mural
About
The Berkshire Bank Mural is a large piece of public art in downtown Rome and a stop on the city’s mural trail. Measuring 105 feet by 32 feet, the painting by artist Robert Duffek of The Design Associates depicts downtown Rome at the turn of the 20th century.
At that scale, it works as a window into the city’s past, showing how Rome looked more than a century ago. It is best enjoyed on foot as part of a walk through downtown, and it pairs well with a visit to Fort Stanwix National Monument.
