Allyn Family Foundation
About
The Allyn Family Foundation is a private foundation based in Skaneateles that has been making grants to charitable organizations in Central New York since 1954. Its giving reflects the generous legacy of the Allyn family, across several generations of family members and their children and grandchildren.
The foundation focuses its grant making in three areas: expanding access and success in education, particularly for students from low-income or other underrepresented backgrounds; helping people have food, clothing and shelter along with the means to support themselves; and improving life for children and families. It works as a collaborative partner with organizations and the community.
