13th Hour Rising
About
Every fall, a dark country road outside Fulton turns into a scare park called 13th Hour Rising. The property covers 200 acres, which gives the haunt room for a long hayride and an indoor attraction. Visit Oswego County features it as one of the area’s October fright nights.
The Nightmare Express hayride is the fan favorite, with costumed creatures, big blasts of pyro and a stretch that plays tricks on your sense of reality. The Passage is the indoor haunt, a crawl through a dark tunnel where you decide whether it is all in your head. Both are meant for people who enjoy being startled.
What to Know
- The season is short, about 11 nights, so plan around the schedule.
- The Nightmare Express hayride is described as award-winning.
- Real pyrotechnics are part of the ride, so expect heat and falling ash.
- The Passage means crawling and twisting through a dark tunnel indoors.
- Both attractions are on the same property, so one trip covers them.
