The International Maple Museum Centre is a museum of maple syrup history at 9756 State Route 812 in Croghan, Lewis County. Founded in 1977 to preserve the history of the North American maple syrup industry, the museum has exhibits on sugaring methods from Native American techniques to plastic tubing and stainless steel evaporators, and audio tours explain many of them. The museum also has a gift shop and a maple Hall of Fame, and the museum serves pancake breakfasts during New York’s Maple Weekend.
