About
Chobani is a Greek yogurt and food company with a yogurt factory in the village of New Berlin in Chenango County. Founded by Hamdi Ulukaya, Chobani became the top-selling Greek yogurt in America in 2010, according to the company. The New Berlin factory hosted a U.S. agriculture secretary in 2019, and the company has invested in the village with a ball field and a community firehouse. In 2025 Chobani announced a new $1.2 billion facility in Rome.
