Antique Boat Museum
About
The Antique Boat Museum is a nonprofit museum of freshwater boating on the St. Lawrence River at 750 Mary Street in Clayton. The campus has several exhibit buildings of antique wooden boats, engines and river artifacts connected by paved, wheelchair-accessible paths. Visitors can tour La Duchesse, a 106-foot houseboat built in 1903 for hotelier George Boldt, and book a ride on Miss Thousand Islands III, a 30-foot triple-cockpit Hacker Craft. The museum also runs a boatyard, rowing and sailing programs and a research library.
